Shepherd of the Hills Garden Club Supports National Garden Week

June 7-13

We Celebrated National Garden Week, June 7-13 in a big way this year, to honor our nation’s 250th birthday.

The week kicked off with Branson Mayor Larry Milton Proclaiming the week of June 7-13 as Shepherd of the Hills Garden Club week in Branson. The Proclamation is the featured image on this page.

In partnership with the Library Center of the Ozarks, free seeds were offered to the public. According to reports from Library staff, this was a big hit and we hope to work with the Library on future projects.

Our Annual Tour of Members’ Gardens was open to the public for the first time ever. Approximately 25 people enjoyed tours of five private gardens, plus behind the scenes tours of Pointe Royale’s Golf Course’s greenhouses. We were joined by two Pointe Royale Horticulturists who willingly donated their time to share their knowledge (and succulents) with us.
